Niteblade Blog Train

One of my very first short stories was accepted for publication
by Niteblade. It was a story about Medusa.

Here's the blurb I used for submissions:

Medusa's Lament is a fantasy short story about the sense of isolation and inner turmoil facing a cursed woman. When a warrior comes to slay her for a prize, she embraces his triumph and welcomes an end to her suffering. But the warrior is consumed with curiosity and, at the last moment of the fight, takes off his blindfold to look in her eyes. The irony is that he becomes her greatest prize.

You can find this story in the September 2009 issue, pictured above.

I'd had several family members read it,
and I was SO excited to have something I wrote accepted.

That's why I jumped on this blog train as fast as I could.

I owe Niteblade so much for taking the chance on my writing,
and I feel so lucky to have published with them.

Rhonda doesn't see "new" writer. She just sees writers. :)
